Dr. Trehan is regarded as one of the best cardiac surgeons in the world.
He has performed more than 48,000 heart surgeries. Since 1991, he has been working as a personal surgeon of Pranab Mukherjee, former president of India.
Now he is the chairman, managing director, and chief cardiac surgeon at Medanta hospital, Gurgaon.
Initially, he worked in major hospitals in the USA and was the former director of Fortis Escorts Heart Institute.
